The purpose of the Externship Program is to provide a hands-on training for prospective pharmacy technicians. Students at Genesis College Hawaii are required to complete 225 externship hours to graduate from the Program along with the successful completion of didactic coursework. The Externship Program is part of the learning process in becoming a pharmacy technician; therefore, students are not to receive monetary compensation for their work during externship.
