Course Description: Fundamental pharmacology is designed to provide pharmacy technicians with a foundational knowledge in the mechanisms of action, drug classes, brand/generic, adverse effects, and counseling points of the most dispensed medications for the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients.
Prerequisites: GM 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106
Required Classroom Resources: Students are required to have the following textbook on either PC/Mac, tablet, or hard copy of the textbook: Moini J. The Pharmacy Technician: A Comprehensive Approach, 4th Ed.
Course Description Foundational knowledge in over the counter (OTC) medications and healthcare devices for pharmacy technicians in a community practice setting. Lessons include: mechanisms of action, drug classes, uses, adverse effects, and counseling points of common OTC medications, and laws and regulations governing the sale of OTC products.
Prerequisites: GM 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106

Course Description: This is the Foundational knowledge course to perform the duties of a pharmacy technician in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
